A magical hike that takes you to the summit of the Cordillera Occidental at 4000m! The impressive and huge rocks at the mountain edge are subject of old legends and myths from the Isinlivi people. Take a quick look at the other side of the Cordillera from where you can catch magnificent views over the Illinizas twin peaks as well as the Cotopaxi volcano.

From here you start your downhill hike over the old Pre-Columbian road. The harsh and irregular landscape of the Andes high above the forest line is impressive! Enjoy the diverse flora and fauna of 3 different ecosystems while descending to the village of Isinlivi.
